Teach-Along Songs is a great way to incorporate music through easy to listen to, positive learning songs for your K-3 classroom.

Through these songs, children can listen, sing-along, and learn about subjects such as math, geography, diversity, and even goal setting.

The more they sing and interact with these songs, by using the extension activities and lesson plans that can be found in the Teacher Resource Center, the more they become their own!

It was created for the classroom, but can be a lot of fun to listen to at home too! I'm so excited to offer these first six educational songs, and be able to provide a safe collaborative place for teachers and students to share their excitement and ideas, too!

We have a lot of sharing to do!

So click on the Teacher Resource Center tab for Printable Lyrics, Lesson Plan Ideas, a link to the North Carolina Standard Course of Study Website. You can access NC-SCOS correlation suggestions for our songs, as they were all written with the curriculum in mind!

Remember, this is a great place to submit your lesson ideas, or extensions- I want you to share with other teachers what you have done in your classroom with the learning songs, or your brilliant lesson plan ideas!

We can't wait to hear from you!

We will see you at the Teacher Resource Center!

Hi!

Thanks for visiting our information page!

I wanted to share a bit with you about who I am, and the journey that led me to singing childrens songs!

I taught first grade for four wonderful years in Harnett County, North Carolina.  I decided that I wanted to go back to school to work towards my Master's Degree in Teacher Education, so I currently am in my last semester at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro- (I graduate in May, 2013- whooohoo)!

Over the past two years, I have been focusing on curriculum and instruction, child development, pedagogy and practice, and how teachers can become more effective in the classroom, and in their leadership and research opportunities in the community and workplace.

Basically, I have been learning a lot about how to make things even better for our children, as well as for teachers by providing them quality, authentic experiences, and I love it!

However, I really miss my kids, and I can't wait to get back into the classroom, there is nothing like being a teacher! I decided that I wanted to extend what I could do for teachers and kids though my teacher leadership project.

I have always loved music, and I felt by creating a learning album,  and putting together a collaborative website that supports  teachers and kids, we all could have an easy place to navigate and find free resources and share  ideas. It is a musical collaborative place! :)

Hopefully, the website will continue to  grow, as more teachers and kids contribute their wonderful ideas and suggestions!
