The Journey:

I have been singing and writing songs for as long as I can remember! I started out singing in my elementary school  chorus, and then became a member of my church's choir. I began taking voice lessons at 13 after taking piano lessons in elementary  and middle school. I love music, and continued with taking band in middle school, as I explored by playing percussion, and became close with some of my best friends to this day, such as Katie Morse!



In 8th and 9th grade I had a unique opportunity with one of my best friends, Annie Meyer, to visit with her Dad, Rick Meyer. We had written several songs together, and were excited to perform them just for him, because he owned a recording studio in Atlanta, Georgia. We had no idea that in several months, we would be discussing a record deal, and off to Triclops Studio in Atlanta to record an album under the band name of 2foria! What a fun and life changing experience!



Music has forever been a part of my life, and as I have found my way into early education, I find it most imperative to strive to keep music alive in the classroom. This has been an amazing opportunity, yet again, for me to share my passion for music with others, and to express the ability of music to send a positive message to others, as they listen and enjoy the gifts that music can give and as they watch those take part in music while they learn and grow!
